I moved to Kenya from London as an investment banker over 11 years ago.
I soon realized I was very much the odd man out as almost everyone I met was creative or very good at riding horses and I was very much not a member.
However, I had always loved fashion, architecture and design in general and this country is very much a place where one is limited by one's own imagination.
I employed some tailors with friends and very soon miacollections emerged.
I use local talent and support only local businesses. Inspiration is everything and happily, Kenya just doesn't stop giving in that department.
It's easy to develop a traditional idea and morph it into current designs whilst retaining an authenticity which is only Kenyan.
I am blessed to be here.
